Are we at the crossroads of delivering construction projects differently, and perhaps more efficiently through off-site manufacturing. The House of Lords recent report seems to indicate that politicians do appreciate the predicated looming skills shortage within the construction trades but actual up-take seems slow or reluctant.
The construction industry, although manages change well at project level, does not traditionally react to change how it would normally deliver projects. Perhaps the government does need to provide a further nudge to start the offsite manufacturing revolution of projects, and align itself more to the car industries productivity rates.
