MIPIM is a four day property and real estate conference in Cannes which attracts more than 30,000 people across the world each year. This will be our 10th time at MIPIM and we always find it incredibly useful; providing us with the opportunity to speak to other industry leaders, senior decision makers from across the globe and provide us with the opportunity to promote opportunities available across the UK through seminar events, panel discussions and countless networking opportunities.
Tuesday was our first full day and was particularly exciting for us as it saw the launch of the Midlands Pavilion.
I attended a particularly interesting forum on the Derby to Nottingham Metro Strategy at the Midlands Pavilion which was further outlined by David Williams, chair of the Metro Growth Board, and Ian Curryer, chief executive of Nottingham City Council, detailing how the two cities are working in collaboration to improve connectivity and productivity. The 15 year strategy, which has already started, is also working to enable Derby and Nottingham to better promote themselves to the global market – MIPIM is obviously a fantastic opportunity to really make a real impact with this and promote this vision.
MIPIM is always incredibly busy with lots of events, interviews and speaking opportunities and we’re incredibly proud to be representing some fantastic teams across the country and look forward to the next few days.
