Every month my team takes an hour out of the day to watch TED talks. It gives us a chance to learn together, debate and build a stronger relationship and understanding of each other's positions.

And, in turn, I've seen my team be able to understand each other's view points better, work together more collaboratively and ultimately deliver more for our clients and internal teams.

This month one of the videos we watched was The Power of Introverts by Susan Cain (you can watch it byclicking here).

Susan very eloquently argues that "in a culture where being social and outgoing are prized above all else, it can be difficult, even shameful, to be an introvert. But, introverts bring extraordinary talents and abilities to the world, and should be encouraged and celebrated."

Our Strategic Development team is a mix of writers, creatives, analysts and project managers, so it was a really interesting process to debate and explore how different character traits help deliver better results and an improved working environment for all the team.

I would encourage you to view the video. It's a powerful statement about the impact introverts can make, that's often missed by leaders today.

Supporting the video, one of my team circulated the 16 Personalities test, which I've linked below.
