The St Michael's Development in Manchester, as with many, has sparked a number of debates from the demolition of the Abercromby pub and former Police Station through to the Architectural merit (or not) of the two proposed towers in Jackson's Row.
Some subjective, some from more personal and heartfelt origins, the debate and opinions keep on coming and Sir Richard has now added his voice on the proposed development.
Regardless of your view of the scheme it certainly has people talking about the City which can only be a good thing for Manchester's continued regeneration and offering.
Manchester City Council's leader Sir Richard Leese has defended the controversial £200m St Michael's scheme, which is being led by Manchester United legends Gary Neville and Ryan Giggs, by dismissing "some pretty silly arguments" and saying that "some people just don't like tall buildings".
