Maximising revenue is resulting in new design thinking through building stadiums vertically i.e. with underground carparks, hotels, gyms and shopping centres under stadiums with the actual playing surfaces and seating three to four floors up, generating commercial opportunities 7 days a week in the facilities other than once or twice a week. The more the "multi-purpose stadiums" can generate revenue the more enhanced the experience will become.
